JOB DUTIES* :*
* Process belt orders in a safe and efficient manner
* Communicate with supervisor regarding assigned orders, scheduling, and other production issues.
* Conveyor belt fabrication, which consists of measuring, cutting, and lacing conveyor belt.
* Assist with conveyor belting installs and repairs in OSHA work sites
* Tear down conveyor belt ends for vulcanization
* Assist with other shop production
* Recognize appropriate inventory usage and report low levels of materials to supervisor * Participates in once-a-year inventory.
* Properly maintain tools & equipment used in industrial repair
* Maneuver heavy objects daily. Frequently lifting 50-100 pounds
* cut and assemble industrial hoses
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in Warehouse, included but not limited to manual labor, forklift operation, housekeeping in the shop areas. Additionally, we will train on the job for our specific industry. *Valid Driver’s License to operate company vehicle
* Must have reliable transportation
* Read a tape measure
* Basic math skills
* Ability to lift 50-100 pounds frequently and daily
* Follow safety procedures
* Time management skills to handle multiple projects
* Ability to go to job sites required, we have job sites all over the Northern California, as well as occasional jobs in other areas.
PREFERRED:
* Mechanical aptitude as well as knowledge of vulcanizing rubber components.
* Conveyor belt industry experience a huge plus
* Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel/Word) *
HOURS: * 40 hours per week, with regular overtime and on-call all days/hours
EMPLOYER COMMENTS: * DMV records check. * This position is extremely physical
